a celebration

wonderful impression it'll make. fancy cars for foreign IOC members, fine dining, fantastic service. we're urged to be on our best behavior, because we're on CENTRESTAGE!

-spits- best behavior indeed.

the kid didnt have to drown. in fact he probably WOULDNT have drowned, if the passers-by on that day were just a little less fucking selfish and oh so fearful of getting involved. are you people happy now? i hope you live on in everlasting guilt, you blasted pricks!

outside of the 5cs, soccer, food and shopping, no one really gives a hoot about anything. not unless it concerns which university they get in and which high paying jobs they get.

and when people do care, its when they are trying to push the blame. tourists complain about hygiene levels in sentosa? people in the service industry say its because of inconsiderate customers and of course the customers say that the people in the service industry are not doing their job. and then the ball of blame gets tossed around until one smart soul suddenly announces, ITS THE GOVERNMENT'S FAULT. and then everyone nods fervently in agreement. two days later, government steps in, tweaks the system, fixes stuff, and as a result, jacks up prices. and THEN the tirade of complaining starts.

goddamn it. its like a bloody carousel. finger pointing never gets the job done. is it so pathetic a nation that no one has to guts to admit one's wrongdoings? or has the society become one that condemns any sort of tripping? either way, its entirely sick.

wake UP people.

wars once stopped because of the olympics. will it stop this decadence, too?
