new year's eve -> very much muted compared to previous years. the entire 'minute of silence' in lieu of the countdown certainly made a mess of things. people resigned to referring to their (not very accurate) watches and cellphones for indications of the new year. my 2005 started 2 minutes earlier. go figure. so instead of a proper countdown we had random exclamations of frantic joy.

stringy sprays -> voted most likely to be banned by the ministry of environment for obvious reasons.

new year resolutions -> to make new year resolutions before next year rolls around.

new year wish -> i wish for a _o__r__n_.
