air travel

it's funny, waking up in the morning in sunny singapore, having lunch in the hot hawker center, and now, barely 12 hours later, i am back in my school in taiwan, fully unpacked and finishing up the last morsels of my char kway teow lunch. it is faintly unsettling, how FAST travel is nowadays.

in fact, its faster than my brain can attune itself. when you travel on a train, you see the landscape changing and you feel that you are moving from place to place. on the plane, however, you are hustled into a sealed compartment and 4 hours later, voila! you are spat out again on a distant land.

arrgggh. ok i admit i miss home... but what else is new? sigh. as i have said once and again... holidays are never long enough. but perhaps now i can begin my countdown to home-coming for real. im passed the halfway mark and now have (yay) only 4 years to go before i am home for good.

on a brighter note, it IS only 4 months before i can go home again for chinese new year, so i guess that's a plus! :)
