Grey's Anatomy

been devouring episodes of grey's anatomy with great enthusiasm in the past few days. thought id try it out because i wanted to see sandra oh in action. having interesting to watch was another reason. previously, my study-tv slot was filled up by taiwan drama serials and the few miserable episodes of Scrubs. but those ran dry so i had to begin on something new... else i would be hooked on WoW all day and we all know that its detrimental to academic results. o.0

anyways, GA was mind-blowing, what with gorgeous and intelligent girls running all over the screen and witty, sarcastic remarks flying... plus interesting medical cases and dingblasted medical terms that are at LEAST 5 syllabus long. :P one thing's for sure though - interns hardly get to sleep at ALL. bah. not for me, definitely.

oh, and i love dr yang!

valentines

i hate how the world makes a big hoo-ha out of valentines. the chocolate madness, the commercialization, the whole 'he only loves you if he gives you an expensive vday gift nonsense'. i hate the sugary touch of air today, the dedications on-air.

bah.

wish you were here. no wait. wish i was there.

happy valentines marc.

first wk of school

the excitement of a new school term certainly didnt last all that long, for i quietly admitted defeat to the droning biology lecturer on the first day of school and handed over the last milliliter of consciousness. well, it didnt take all that long. figures.

well yesterday i discovered the Real Reason for my sleeping in class, aside from the usual Oxygen Shortage, Chinese Lullaby, Lack of Sleep possibilities. Lack of Substantial Mental Stimulation was the main culprit behind the snooze-fest. I wasnt learning enough in class. yep. i discovered this all-important fact during the first physics lecture. as all of you people know, Vicky's physics is just as good as Confucious' english. not that it is my FAULT, but ive never touched that filthy thing beyond secondary two... and that when we were doing combined science. all i remember was drawing funny lines joining the eye and the object, passing through a miniscule hole.

yeah, so im not that well-versed in BASIC SCIENCE. big fucking deal, do i look like i care?

but i digress.

my point is, physics lecture activated the mental button declaring "OMG!!! WHATS THIS NONSENSE ABOUT?! ARGHHH IM GONNA FAIL!!!" I.e. the panic button. While that button was on permanently back in HCJC (biology lectures sent it into overdrive) it has been in disuse ever since i enrolled into NDMC. took me awhile to find it, amidst all the cobwebs. and so i kept awake during physics lecture and actually ATTEMPTED TO LISTEN. which worked pretty fine, considering that for once, this was a lecturer who new what he was talking about.

do i like physics, you ask? well sorry no. but hey, would be nice to finally understand a sliver of it. :P plus having homework seems rather exciting, dont you think?

maaasturbation!

woody allen thinks that masturbation is nothing to be ashamed of, because to him, its sex with someone you love. (the most?) thumbs up, woody! :P asian people in particular need to remove the stigma associated with masturbation because it is really just a simple act of self-satisfaction... as long as you arent addicted to it :)
