a digression

a thought just occurred to me. clothing manufacturers of today never cease to amaze me. they can make glorious designs, sew impossibly intricate patterns and crystals on your clothing, hem effortlessly... but yet they cannot make laundry care tags with rounded edges?!

early education

being the rather hyperactive kid that i was, my mom decided to send me to TumbleTots, something rather like Gymboree. to meet new friends and have fun, she says, but we all know that its really so that she can preserve her sanity.. and also the living room's upholstery. -grin-
i remember being chronically fickle; never could i decide on which one of the equipment to queue up for. hehe. i usually end up jumping from queue to queue, much to the chagrin of everyone else. below is a pic of my favorite part of class... the parachute! nuff said =)

the move

<--and just like how grover did not always live on sesame street, vicky didnt always live in braddell view. in fact, it wasnt until the ripe old age of 2 that i moved from the apartment blocks of toapayoh.

(toa payoh) -> conception (perhaps!) - 2

(braddell view) -> aged 2 - 20
i must say i adore braddell view. its one of the older estates in singapore and the only one i believe, that has so much land and greenery. my building's the one on the far left. the one that's almost entirely cut off. we have a swimming pool, tennis courts, a club house (housing table tennis uh tables, a gym, and a cafeteria), playground facilities, 2 carparks, and a little "black" shop (as my mother likes to call it).

at the beginning..

side tracking from the boring realm of biochemistry, lets take a peek back into my past...

<--january 27th, 1986. a fine fine day indeed, for twas the day i was born, in mt alvernia hospital :)
