I'm BAAAACCCCCKKK

Et, VOILA! Here i am again, after a hiatus of... damn i cant even remember when was the last time i blogged. :) I'm glad that this blog is still alive though - its the only surviving diary i have (if an extremely erratic one) so. i've started my preparations for the big day! it started with ploughing through many a wedding forum, and then fervent borrowing of bridal magazines from the local library (what? yes im cheapskate!) anyhow... we've decided to have our wedding in 2 parts - 1) ROM in singapore 2) Actual Day / banquet in taiwan that way we can have the best of both worlds, and hah, we're going to have photoshoots in BOTH PLACES, woot! me being greedy aside, i think it'll be a good representation of us? we dont have a long history like the other couples to fall back on, but i think what we have is a mix of two (well, i wouldnt say CULTURES) backgrounds growing up. both remarkable similar yet oh-so-different! im thinking for the singapore portion of the photoshoot that it'll be representative of my life here in singapore. places i love, places that are uhhum, distinctively singaporean. shortlisted places so far:: [WHITE GOWN] 1)McRitchie reservoir (cuz it has alot of nature and is just across my place, plus my mom brought me there ALL THE TIME) 2)Botanic Gardens (also a frequent haunt. hi, mom!) 3)Lest people think i keep only to the greenery there's also the MANDAI ZOO. HAH! well, i'd dearly love to ROM there but 80 tables MINIMUM? are you crazy? its not a banquet... so, byebye elephant/horse carriage/fellabella ring bearer (sobs). so, photography there, maybe? but i dunno how feasible that is, seeing that hah it is again a place with greens. [CASUAL WEAR] 1)tennis courts at braddell view? i dunno. pretty courts and that's how we met :) [CHEONG SAM / KWA] 1)chinatown, complete with the cliched trishaws + shophouses + tintin store? [EVENING GOWN / short white dress?] 1)am thinking something along the lines of a beach... say sentosa? coconut tree silhouettes! 2)or the singapore river with my dad's sculptures!! [??] 1)CHIJMES - just because its pretty, heh i actually have 5 gowns here to use but meh... with only 30 poses, i dunno how on earth imma choose the pics. hah! also, route-wise... its not very wise... perhaps it would be easier without the mandai zoo (sigh!) but yay that's about it for now! _____ and yes, being the very Impulsive Person that i am, i visited ONE BRIDAL FAIR and booked with the VERY FIRST STUDIO that i sat down with. HAH! arent i easy target? :X to be fair their photography is good and the representatives quite friendly. and i stress again, their photography's good. i mean, its just a ROM at the OFFICE.. how ornate need it be? so the focus' on the photoshoot for sure! one of the most glaring weaknesses of the studio is that it's got very few gowns. but well, i dunno surely i can find something? im hopeful anyway.. its not like i'll turn up naked! and there's always PRONOVIAS (drool) to look forward to for the Actual Day in Taiwan hurhurhur. yup im justifying the fact that i shelled out 2000 odd bucks without checking out their range of gowns... -fingerscrossed- ______ well, that's it i guess... glad to have one item out of the way - now i can go for fittings yay! love. trying. clothes.. woots!! so exciting, this! above all, i hope the whole process will be FUN, cuz hey its a happy day and i wanna have happy memories :D
