decisions
while viewing the most mundane of television dramas yesterday,
there was a scene where the EMT was administering CPR for a
fallen police officer.
bullocks, i thought. inadequate chest compression depth, inefficient CPR!
i don't know why but i was somehow moved by the moment...
the pouring rain, the desperate compressions, the fallen constable
suddenly i felt fortunate to have a job that allows me to be where
people needed help most. for all its misgivings, it is rather a high honor
to be granted access to these special circumstances, to be able to help
and give people another chance at life.
and so i flipped open my ACLS handbook... for another update.
