i just got news of steve irwin's death this morning, and of all places to get wind of such a piece of news, i read it off xiaxue's blog. =S its not as if i read it often anyways, i was just bored and wanted something to read while having breakfast (and rockson didnt update!)
weekday afternoons were often spent having a late lunch and watching steve irwin prancing about in the desert, flouncing in the ocean, interacting with creatures you wanna stay away from. my brother and i loved him, for his agility, bravery and his enthusiasm for wildlife. and of course, he's THE aussie guy who pronounces "sharks" funny.
man, i remember my mom watching his shows with us and saying "wah that guy bu2 yao4 ming4". such wisdom!
bah.. i suppose it only goes to show how defenseless we humans really are, despite our attempts to alter nature with our man-made creations. at the end of the day, nature has the final say. rather like the titanic incident, really.
it definitely sucks to hear that he's gone though... hope that things wont be too difficult for those whom he left behind.
